#TheWarOnMotorists

The War on motorists is regularly fobbed off as ‘conspiracy theorist fodder’ but is in fact a genuine war instigated by socialist governments, especially Britain, to try and force motorists off of the road by the use of stealth taxes and a denial of ‘the freedom to roam’ which aligns beautifully with the fifteen minute city concept.

The cry “war on motorists” they laugh away as lore,
Yet many feel the pressure rising heavier than before.
They say it’s just a theory whispered loud upon the street,
But drivers feel the tightening grip beneath their turning seat.

Stealthy tolls and levies climb like shadows in the night,
While freedom of the open road grows fainter in its light.
The promise of the roaming lane once wide beneath the sky,
Now bends to maps of minutes where the boundaries draw nigh.

Some picture darker futures drawn from novels grim and cold,
Where watchful towers and quiet rules keep every pathway controlled.
A world where power gathers high in hands of chosen few,
And movement must be granted like a pass you must renew.

For rulers fear a restless crowd that wanders where it will,
So roads become the quiet place where freedoms they can still.
When travel costs a fortune and each mile is under scan,
The road belongs to wealth alone, not to the working man.

And debt becomes the bridle bit that keeps the driver tame,
A fine for every slip or sign, a letter full of blame.
Licences hang by fragile threads that any rule can sever,
A bureaucratic hammer poised to fall whenever.

Across the towns new numbers bloom upon the roadside sign,
Twenty here and thirty there in ever-lengthening line.
A sprinkle made of penalties like glitter in the air,
That settles on the windscreen of the driver unaware.

The taxes climb like ivy round the wheels we used to trust,
And older cars are branded now as relics turned to dust.
“Non-compliant,” whispers spread through garages and yards,
As families sell the keys they loved and shuffle transit cards.

A bicycle replaces steel that once could roam afar,
And hours grow longer just to reach our work without a car.
The day begins in darkness and returns in evening’s gloom,
While crowded trains replace the quiet cabin’s little room.

Then parking turns to puzzles drawn inside a glowing screen,
With apps that spin in circles where a simple meter’s been.
The signal fades like misty rain where data should appear,
And fines arrive for elders who can’t make sense – in fear.

Councils hum like money-hoovers pulling coins from every lane,
While drivers tread through forms and codes and try to stay quite sane.
And still the whisper circles that the tightening has begun,
A war upon the motorist – that many feel is won.

Think Gilead in ‘The Housemaids Tale’ and you have socialism to a tee. An Oligarchy in fact. Where the elite demand total subservience from all other lower classes. To achieve that, they must be able to stop all freedom of movement. All movement/travel must be monitored and strictly controlled, with only those wealthy enough being able to afford to travel by motor vehicles that are tracked and restricted, with everyone else having to use public transport under a limited ‘voucher’ scheme.

The only way to get total subservience is either to put everyone into debt, or fear of debt. With fines for virtually every action you take on a daily basis in a motor vehicle being fineable, with the added risk of losing a driving licence and permissions for travel in jeopardy, they have the perfect ‘sledgehammer’ to crush anyone, at any time.

At present in the UK, motorists are being sorely ‘tested’ with 20 mph limits and 30 mph limits springing up everywhere! With fines and loss of licences being sprinkled like fairy dust over all motorists. Road taxes that are totally unsustainable for many motorists, and penalties just for owning! ‘Net-Zero Non-Compliant’ vehicles forcing many owners to simply sell off their vehicles without the necessary funds to replace them. Leaving them totally dependant on a bicycle or pubic transport to be able to get to work to earn a basic living. Adding HOURS per week to the working day.

Then we have the parking nightmares where it is going all-digital via various app’s that often don’t even download onto many Smart-Phones, with complicated procedures and internet connectivity as random as hens teeth in many cases. The elderly, vulnerable, and those who simply do not understand modern technology finding themselves being FINED! to the hilt because they never went through the motions correctly, or in time. Many Local Council’s have adopted these parking methods and have found them to be very productive ‘Money-Hoovers’. While keeping many-many motorists floundering under debt!

The ‘Socialist Battle-Cry’ is – Keep them in debt, keep them poor, keep them at home, threaten them with consequences to demand subservience, and threaten them with homelessness to keep them productive…. The War On Motorists is very much a plan-of-action that has been active for some years now, and it’s gathering speed at an alarming pace.

It’s Christmas 2025
Not feeling it this year.
A Socialist UK Government
Makes everything so dear.

Pubs all closing one by one
No more laughing, no more fun.
Just Foodie Houses, cold and Baron,
no laughter there, just food, no manners.

No driving to see our friends and family,
Roadworks now make it an impossibility.
Spending hours untold on a gridlocked road
Makes any journey a heavy load.

‘The War On Motorists’
Folks all smile.
Don’t be so stupid….
Hmmm?? – Not smiled in a while!

Freedom to travel now curtailed,
As the ‘Socialist Crowd’ have us trailed.
Watching with cameras high on poles,
To see just HOW! We’re being ‘Controlled!’

Now Social Media comes to our aid,
As we chat with each other unafraid.
But WAIT! – What’s THAT!? – A Knock on the door?
We’ve said something WRONG! – That’s for SURE!

Police, once servants, to protect and uphold,
Our Justice, Our Freedom, Our Safety we’re told.
But nothing now could be further from Gospel!
As this Socialist Cult! Is no longer ‘Social!’

In days gone by, justice was weak.
But the UK delivered, and the world did seek.
But NOW it’s gone backwards, to days of Yore.
Justice? – Not Here! – Not Any More!

So See How We Suffer on this Sceptic Isle.
Once known as ‘The Greatest!’ for a very long while.
But now viewed worldwide as Weak, with no freedom,
Great Britain has slipped into SATAN’s Kingdom!

So Christmas now has LOST all of it’s Cheer!
No Laughter, Joking with friends and some Beer.
Now checking each morning, through the day too!
On Twitter, to see what Hell has brought NEW!

Christmas has always been a time of warmth in the UK — a season of laughter in pubs, long drives to see family, spirited debates over a pint, and the comforting sense that, whatever our differences, we were free to live our lives largely as we chose. But for many people, Christmas 2025 feels very different.

There’s a growing sense that the joy has been drained from everyday life. The cost of living continues to bite, and what once felt like small pleasures now feel out of reach. Pubs that were once the heartbeat of local communities are closing at an alarming rate, replaced by sterile, characterless venues where connection feels transactional rather than human. The laughter, the banter, the shared stories — they’re becoming memories rather than experiences.

Even travelling, something most of us take for granted, has become a source of frustration. Endless roadworks, traffic schemes, and restrictions mean that visiting friends or family can feel like a test of endurance. Journeys that once took an hour now consume entire afternoons, turning what should be moments of togetherness into exercises in patience and stress. The so-called “war on motorists” might be laughed off by some, but for many it feels very real.

Underlying all of this is a deeper unease: the sense that freedom itself is slowly being eroded. Cameras watch from poles, data is collected constantly, and the feeling of being monitored has crept into everyday life. The freedom to move, to speak, and to live without scrutiny no longer feels guaranteed.

Social media was once an escape — a place to share opinions, frustrations, and humour with like-minded people. But even that space now feels precarious. Say the wrong thing, question the wrong policy, or voice the wrong opinion, and suddenly the knock on the door doesn’t feel so far-fetched. Whether real or perceived, fear has a way of silencing voices.

Perhaps most troubling of all is the loss of trust in institutions that were once held sacred. The police, the justice system, and the rule of law were long seen as pillars of British society. Today, many feel those pillars are cracking. Justice seems inconsistent, accountability feels selective, and the values that once defined the nation appear blurred.

This Christmas, for some, the decorations are still up and the lights still shine — but the cheer feels forced. Instead of anticipation, people wake up checking the news or social feeds, bracing themselves for the next announcement, restriction, or controversy.

The UK was once admired around the world as a symbol of freedom, resilience, and fairness. Whether that reputation can be reclaimed remains to be seen. For now, Christmas 2025 serves as a moment of reflection — not just on what has been lost, but on what many still hope can be restored……..

Hope For The Homeless And Bereft

Inspirational poem on homelessness and poverty, social struggles and resilience, human dignity and support, empowering people and society.

When people struggle, hope can fade from view,
Yet still a spark survives in me and you.
The homeless carry dreams they long to keep,
Though life grows heavy, and the climb is steep.

In poverty, the spirit may feel worn,
But even then, new strength can be reborn.
A gentle hand, a chance, a guiding light—
Can lift a weary soul back into sight.

A nation rises when its people rise,
When kindness clears the clouds from troubled skies.
Invest in hearts, and brighter days appear;
Plant seeds of hope, and futures grow more clear.

With fairer paths, the willing find their place,
And meet each morning with a steadier face.
Not every road is smooth or trouble-free,
But open doors can change a destiny.

Let those who strive step forward, brave and strong,
To build a world where everyone belongs.
Where work brings purpose, dignity, and grace,
And no one feels they burden or displace.

But still some fear work and society,
Find no path for hope in sobriety.
These folk forced to do what they hate
Place the bill firmly on society’s plate.

Business thrives! when workers are willing!
No pound displaced, no wasted shilling.
Let society fund those who can’t work.
Let those who Can! DO!….
Let those who Can’t Shirk!

Encouragement can spark a brighter flame,
And help a dreamer rise above their shame.
For when a life is given room to grow,
Its gifts return in ways we come to know.

Lift those who falter, help them stand again;
A hopeful heart can carry many men.
And when we rise together, hand in hand,
We shape a kinder, more united land.

If these warm thoughts are ones you choose to share,
May they inspire someone, – somewhere, – to care.

Remember;   The Homeless,  – they find it almost impossible to find work. Then those living in Poverty are also NOT inclined to put in a good days work either,  as more often than not they are  ‘clinically depressed’ by the situation they find themselves in.

A ‘Content  Society’ is a ‘Productive Society’ so it stands to reason that you HAVE to invest in The People first before you see this once Great Nation – Great Britain – reclaim it’s rightful place on the world stage. We need people to pay Taxes, but they can’t do that on Minimum Wage, Zero-Hours-Contracts or On Benefits, so by priming the pump we actually INCREASE the amount of taxes being paid into the treasury.  Governments KNOW this, but their Ideologies and Personal Greed gets in the way.

To those who continuously complain about the ‘Stay-At-Home-On-Benefits’ Society, you should take a look at it from the employers stand-point – Would YOU like to have to pay a ‘lazy-good-for-nothing’ to come and work for YOU! ??
I guess the answers NO! then?

Best to let THOSE Folk stay at home doing nothing so that those who DO want to work, go to work and fill their potential as a fulfilled human, but find the jobs all taken up by the lazy, negative skivers who have taken a ‘job’ to avoid the MESS! that is Universal Credit – Which itself! Should put most people OFF! ever claiming a benefit of ANY kind.

Give the ‘workers’ the jobs – Give the employers, entrepreneurs, self-employed the carrot to ‘Go For It!’ – succeed – and LIFT Great Britain back to prosperity.
