Great Britain used to be
The place where children roamed free
No boundaries of despair
They took their fun out of the air.
Climbing trees, hide and seek.
Bows and arrows, catapults too.
Scrumping was fun, building dams true!
All the fun that we once knew.
Out in the morning,
back when we wanted.
No time was placed, except…

“Back At Dinner-time please”.
We built our Den’s Way up in the trees.
Adults we met would stop and chat.
They knew our names, They’d give us a hug or a pat.
Sometimes a penny or two, returned with a smile.
Respect from both sides helped us grow up with Pride!
Pride in our home, our home lives too.
School taught us History, Geography days.
Math’s and spelling, Christian ways.
All was good in those ‘Old Normal Days’
Out in the morning,
back when we wanted.
No time was placed, except…

Now 60 years on and the ‘New Normal Days’
Where Woke Rules Our Lives, that Children despise!
“It’s Not Safe To Go Out!
Bad People Around”
Is the call from all parents and peers.
And Social Media’s Sound.

Great Britain No More! Where did It GO!??
Neither You Or I Could Possibly Know!
Except The Governments seem to side with Woke.
They give them powers, quite simply – A JOKE!
The Children these days are taught from their START!
That the rainbow is GOD! – Stay under it’s Arch!
For if You stray towards ‘Common Sense’
The Rainbow will GET YOU!
You’ll have no defence!
